BFSC Laureates 2003

Each year, the BFSC selects outstanding club members to be the Club's Laureate Nominees.  The Club Laureates' names are submitted to the Lac-St-Louis Regional Executive who, from the names submitted by the 13 clubs in the region, select a winner in each category to be the Regional Laureate
 
Section Test Skater Megan Miyamoto REGIONAL LAUREATE
Selection criteria is points based on tests passed between January 1, 2003 and December 31, 2003
 
Regional Competitive Single Skater Megan Miyamoto REGIONAL LAUREATE
Selection criteria is points based on results from qualifying competitions (Summer Provincials, Georges-Ethier, Jeux-de-Quebec) held between January 1, 2003 and December 31, 2003
   
Skate Canada StarSkate Athlete Award Courtney Baird-Lew
 Skaters must have passed tests in 3 of the 5 disciplines (freestyle, dance, skills, interpretive skating, interpretive dance) between January 1, 2003 and December 31, 2003  to be eligible for this award
   
Bank of Montreal CanSkater of the Year Julia Rafferty
This skater must demonstrate talent, determination and the desire to continue on into figure skating.  Additionally, the skater must be 8 years of age and under.
   
Volunteer of the Year (executive) Noreen Lavallée REGIONAL LAUREATE
   
Club Coach of the Year Mary-Liz Wiley REGIONAL LAUREATE
   

Megan is the first BFSC skater to be honoured by the Quebec Federation as a Provincial Laureate Finalist in the Section Test Skater category
