Our bi-annual Ice Show will take place on Saturday, April 4th. All skaters from our youngest Canskater to our top competitive skaters are invited to take part. Each skater will be assigned to a minimum of one group number with costumes provided by the club. Home club skaters who have participated in a minimum of three freestyle competitions this season (April 1st, 2008 – February 15, 2009) will also perform in the “Competitor’s Showcase” number. On March 13, regular sessions will end and Show practices will begin. There will be no buy-ons during show practices in March 2009. Note: Skaters must attend all their group’s practices. If you miss a practice, the coach has the authority to cut you from the number if they believe you will not be able to catch up. While there is no additional charge for your child to participate in the show, we must charge admission on show day to defray the considerable costs related to producing a show that includes professional lighting and sound, ice rental, costuming, choreography, etc… Therefore it is necessary that all parents, family, and friends buy a ticket in order to watch the show. Only parents who volunteer as “group parents” receive free admission. Tickets will be on sale during practices. |
